With Piping Classes in Shopfloor, one Pipe Class defines a variety of piping specification and the required testing for each welded joint. A preferred welding procedure specification (WPS) may also be defined to streamline the assignment of welding procedures for each joint.
Pipe Equipment records in Shopfloor are validated against the assigned Pipe Class to ensure each new weld will meet the specifications defined in the Pipe Class. Each new weld will automatically be assigned required testing where possible. For example, the Pipe Spool will be assigned a Hydrotest and the welds will be assigned Visual Exams when 100% VT Coverage is specified in the Pipe Class.
Deficiency Dashboard
Open the QC Dashboard to view testing deficiencies. If 5% RT (Radiography Test/Inspection, X-Ray) coverage is specified for the Pipe Class, Shopfloor will issue a deficiency if the RT Coverage per welder falls below 5% of the welded joints they complete on that work order.
